Another value is sustainability I can express it in just one word: the future. Water reflects a return to nature, to “cleanliness”, to respect for the land and the people who live on it. Achieving sustainability is a lengthy process that requires great effort. I compare this concept to the flight of the dragonfly, an insect that remains in the larval stage for several years in water, at the bottom of the pond where it lays its eggs. The etymology of the Italian name, libellula, is uncertain: some people say that the term derives from the Greek word libra, or balance; others say it is derived from the Latin libellum, a diminutive of liber, meaning free. The dragonfly is often seen as a magical creature: it is the symbol of transformation, metamorphosis and change, that all come together in each individual personality. It represents freedom, awareness and balance.
